Product Description
Boucheron Vintage Watch – 1970s Manual Wind with Black Lacquer Dial

A beautiful vintage watch by Boucheron, dating to the 1970s, representing the era when French high-jewelry houses were producing some of the most distinctive and elegant dress watches.

The case features a strongly sculpted ribbed gold design, a style often seen in high-end jewelry watches of the period, alongside creations from Cartier, Piaget, and Chaumet.
The vertical fluted finishing gives the watch a bold yet refined presence, characteristic of 1970s French jewelry watch design.

Inside, the watch is powered by a manual wind Swiss movement with 17 jewels, signed for Boucheron.
Unlike later quartz models, this mechanical movement reflects the higher-grade production typical of earlier jewelry watches.

The dial is finished in a deep black lacquer, creating a rich glossy surface that contrasts beautifully with the warm gold case.
This type of lacquer dial was frequently used in the 1970s for high-jewelry watches, offering a sleek and sophisticated look without the heaviness of stone dials.

Vintage Boucheron watches from this period were produced in relatively small numbers, and examples combining
• 1970s production
• manual wind movement
• ribbed gold case
• black lacquer dial

are rarely seen on the market today.

This piece perfectly captures the spirit of the time, when Parisian jewelry houses approached watchmaking as an extension of haute joaillerie, focusing on design, materials, and elegance rather than mass production.

A true vintage jewelry watch, and a very collectible example from one of the great French maisons.
